Has your child been playing sports in school?  Has he or she been injured?  You may have the right to commence a lawsuit against the school.  In one case that Worby Groner Edelman handled to a successful conclusion, the teachers allowed children of different grades to play soccer together.  As a result, some of the children were much older and bigger than the others.  In our case, one of the younger children broke his arm because he was knocked down by a much older and bigger child.  We brought a lawsuit against the school for allowing the teachers to permit the younger and older students to play one another.  As in most cases involving sports injuries, the school principal indicated that this was a risk which is inherent in soccer.  The school refused to acknowledge responsibility until we pursued the action and the case was finally called in for jury selection.  At that point, the school conceded that they were negligent for allowing the injury to occur and the case was settled for a substantial figure.  If your child has been injured in school, contact us at Worby Groner Edelman immediately.  In most cases, there is a very short time limit in which to notify the school, so time is of the essence.  Call us and we will answer any questions you have to protect your rights and the rights of your child and remember, there is never a fee unless we are successful!
